LOWER SCHOOL ACADEMIC HUBS
At Hampstead Academy, a significant portion of each school day is dedicated to the foundational skills in literacy, mathematics, and critical thinking form the core of our Lower Elementary program. Students progress at their own pace within a structured academic framework supported by Individual Learning Plans (ILPs). Each ILP is developed collaboratively and reviewed multiple times throughout the school year with teacher, parent, and student input. Standardized assessments serve as reference tools to inform instruction and guide goal setting, allowing teachers to use data intentionally to refine each child’s learning path and ensure readiness for Upper School.
In addition to core academics, students participate in a robust enrichment program that includes art, music, science, physical education, and dance. On Fridays, students engage in elective-style enrichment blocks, where multiple offerings take place simultaneously, allowing them to choose the experience that most interests them. These opportunities broaden their learning, nurture creativity, and support well-rounded development.
